Avengers: Infinity War

A new supposed behind-the-scenes image from filming shows a shot of Doctor Strange and Spider-Man teaming up, with Strange ominously telling Peter “Protect them, they’re not dead.”

Mega Man

THR reports that Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, the filmmakers behind Catfish, are in final negotiations to direct a film adaptation of the popular Capcom video game franchise. Heroes’ Masi Oka and Chernin Entertainment will produce the film with 20th Century Fox.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers

Deadline reports David Leslie Johnson (Dungeons & Dragons, The Conjuring 2) has been hired to write a fourth remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Bird Box

According to THR, Sandra Bullock is in talks to star in an adaptation of Josh Malerman’s alien invasion novel, Bird Box. Presumably, Bullock will play the story’s main character, Malorie, a woman who must courier her children to safety as flaming alien hell reigns down from above.

Bumblebee

Omega Underground claims the solo Bumblebee movie’s official title is now Transformers Universe: Bumblebee. According to the site, the spinoff enters production July 31.

Speaking with Variety, director Gina Prince-Blythewood stated she’s interested in making the Silver Sable/Black Cat movie as “the story of two damaged women who are at war with each other but need each other to survive.”

In the same article, Columbia Picture’s president Sanford Panitch stated the prompt for Venom is to “draw on the work of John Carpenter or David Cronenberg” but with “more pop and fun.” Not sure if they can really pull it off, but a John Carpenter-style Venom movie sounds awesome.

Deadpool 2

T.J. Miller has once again stated the sequel will be funnier then its predecessor—this time to Screen Rant.

I was crying so hard laughing that I dropped an iPad in a public restaurant when I was reading the script. As Ryan [Reynolds] and I were talking about, it’s this great thing where we know the tone, we know the stakes, everybody’s played these characters before – most importantly, we know the tone, we know how to hit it pitch perfect. So I think it might actually be funnier than the first one. I’m really, really excited.
