A Brief Chat With the Mad Scientist Who Made Viagra Ice Cream

Charlie Francis is no stranger to unusual ice cream concoctions—he's the same guy who brought us a $225 scoop of luminescent jellyfish ice-cream just last year. Before you start licking his latest creation, though, better get yourself a prescription. Because each scoop is infused with a healthy, 25mg dose of Viagra.

Dubbed "The Arousal" (obviously), Francis' titillating new creation came about as a commisioned project for an "A-list celebrity client." While Francis has been sworn to secrecy regarding the identity of his floppy friend, he has been kind enough to reveal how one gets from point A to point Viagra cone.

In an email to Gizmodo, Francis writes:

At Lick Me I'm Delicious, we make any flavour or ice cream (anything at all), so you can probably imagine we have a war chest of flavours, sprinkles, machines and materials to make this happen; in the past, we've made sprout sorbets, roast beef and horseradish, and glow in the dark ice creams to name a few of the more bizarre creations...

[For this one] the viagra aspect of the ice cream was relatively simple, but we wanted to incorporate an aphrodisiac flavour cue into the ice cream as well. We started off trying to make an Oyster ice cream which we did succeed in doing, but it was NOT something you'd want to eat, so we switched to creating a champagne ice cream, which was much MUCH tastier.

Of course, doling out prescriptions is a highly detailed, regulated science, but the same can't be said of the ice cream world. So to make sure that each scoop came out to one dose and one dose exactly, Francis and his team ground up a single 25mg pill into a paste which they would then mix with 150ml of ice cream, keeping each scoop separate to ensure exact amounts.

As for the real question: Does Viagra in ice cream form give you the same libido boost? According to Francis, his client was "very happy with the end result." Sounds like ice cream wasn't all they were screaming for. [Lick Me I'm Delicious via Latin Times]
